這首感人至極的歌其實是首聖詩，也有人翻成「美哉神蹟」。西方歌手演唱此曲的版本很
多，但茱蒂柯琳絲的版本採用無樂器伴奏的人聲（accapella）表現，最能表達原曲聖潔祥
和的懾人氣氛，至今仍是不可取代的首選。
grace原意為"優雅、優美"，此處解釋做"上帝對人類的慈悲、恩寵"。

我以前在學校唱過的中文翻譯歌詞是這樣
奇異恩典，何等甘甜，我罪已得赦免；
前我失喪，今被尋回，瞎眼今得看見。
