"I was touring with Van Morrison as part of his blues and soul revue when he offered me the chance to record this version of his classic song for the Hollywood movie 'When A Man Loves A Woman', starring Meg Ryan and Andy Garcia. Now how generous is that?? I'd just seen new colours on Jools Holland so I suggested to my friend and producer James McMillan that we try and get them to sing the sweet inspiration part.
