- 1969
"What if I was five, 1969?" When my heroes
died I heard that line. Guess as a child
it'd be more than wild, the Apollo shots
and the astronauts.
See I was five, 1989 and the picture seen
was just memories. No one gave a damn bout
Neil Armstrong man. It was troubled times
for satellites.
I stood by my windows, stared at the sky
line and prayed that would take me with
them and...
Ooh, sometimes I could see them. Ooh, I
had to believe them.
Frankie died 1999. I saw bombs fall down
through suburbia. But the picture seen was
just make believe. How my mother sighed
when I watched the sky.
Sometimes I would panic, I stood by my
windows. And thought it all happened without
me and...
Ooh, sometimes I could see them, Ooh, I
had to believe them. Ooh, they sailed on
through heaven. Ooh,just had to believe
them.
"What if I was five, 1969?" When my heroes
died I heard that line. The things they've
seen, where not meant for me. Someone had
to be born in '83.
Still I was sleepless, Thought I heard
voices. Whispering: "space" and "the final
frontier" I stood by my windows, stared at
the sky line and prayed that they would
take me with them and...
Ooh, sometimes I could see them. Ooh, I had
to believe them. Ooh, they sailed on through
heaven. Ooh, wish I could have saved them.
