Pathologic Basis of Disease Seventh Edition 1182 頁中的描述
Medullary carcinomas of the thyroid are neuroendocrine neoplasms derived
from the parofollicular cells, or C cells, of the thyroid. The cells of
medullary carcinomas, similar to normal C cells, secrete calcitonin, the
measurement of which plays an important role in the diagnosis and
postoperative follow-up of patients.
所以 calcitonin 對於 medullary carcinoma of the thyroid 的診斷和追蹤是很
重要的，建議這題一律給分。
