Diarrhea
Diarrhea in parasitic disease may have diverse cause. In kala-azar,
infiltration of the submucosa with leishmania-containing macrophage may
lead to mucosal and "diarrhea".
Fever
Patterns of "fever" may be character in malaria and kala-azar.
Anemia
Most frequency associated with malaria, hookwarm, and broad fish tapeworm
infection, anemia may be seen in babesiosis,kala-azar.
Hepatomegaly
Any parasitic infection involving the liver may result in enlargement of
that organ as well as in kala-azar.
