 In addition to making his first NBA Finals and generally being a very nice
boy, Kevin Durant is a bona fide media presence. He's in sneaker ads, he's an
Internet favorite, and, as we've noted several times before on BDL, he's
about to star in a movie. Just minutes after Durant and the Thunder
dispatched the Spurs on Wednesday night, TNT premiered the trailer for his
movie "Thunderstruck," a kids movie about what happens when Durant
accidentally transfers his talent to a kid who can't even make his own high
school team.

As you can see in the trailer above, hijinks ensue: Durant misses everything
as his manager (Brandon T. Jackson) attempts to figure out what's going on,
the kid wows his school's coach (funnyman and legendary blues musician Jim
Belushi) with a dazzling array of dunks and jumpers, and everybody considers
the ethics of the situation. It's a little "Space Jam," a little "Like Mike,"
a little "Teen Wolf," and a little pretty much every basketball movie ever
made. These things only have so many potential storylines, you know.

It all looks a little goofy. Then again, it's not for adults — it's a kids
movie about basketball. The parents who take their kids into the theaters
might not love it, but it's not made with them in mind. The idea is to
entertain kids for 90 or 100 minutes (or maybe even fewer?) and help Durant
become more popular among the general public. No one is expecting to win
critics' awards with this one, unless you consider a Kids' Choice Award a
prestigious honor.

Look for the film in theaters later this summer (likely Aug. 24). With any
luck, we'll see many promotional photos of Durant and the Beloosh hanging out.

KD在片中飾演真實生活中的自己，在一次偶然的情況下，KD和一位14歲的男孩互換籃球
技能，之後這位原本絕望且動作不協調的男孩，成為全美高中生的明星球員，反觀KD
因為失去球技，率領球隊的能力一落千丈，隨著季後賽迫近，他慢慢了解到籃球是團隊運
動，不是單打獨鬥。
