Megan Fox’s absence changed ‘Transformers’ vibe, says Shia LaBeouf

梅根的消失改變了劇組

Director Michael Bay has a new toy in “Transformers: Dark of the Moon” —
 British model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, who replaces Megan Fox as the love
interest for Shia LaBeouf’s human hero in the center of the
warring-alien-robots franchise.

麥克貝在變型金剛第三集中有新玩具了─來自英格蘭的模特兒蘿西杭亭頓，她代替了梅根
福克斯在片中飾演西亞李畢福的情人。

Huntington-Whiteley is equipped for Bay’s brusque shooting style in a way
that Fox (who in the media likened her director’s on-set behavior to
Napoleon and Hitler) was not, according to LaBeouf.

西亞說，蘿西杭亭頓能習慣麥克貝直接的導演方式，梅根則否(她在媒體上稱他是
片場的拿破崙和希特勒)。

“Megan developed this Spice Girl strength, this woman-empowerment [stuff]
that made her feel awkward about her involvement with Michael, who some
people think is a very lascivious filmmaker, the way he films women,”
 LaBeouf said. “Mike films women in a way that appeals to a 16-year-old
sexuality. It’s summer. It’s Michael’s style. And I think [Fox] never got
comfortable with it. This is a girl who was taken from complete obscurity and
placed in a sex-driven role in front of the whole world and told she was the
sexiest woman in America. And she had a hard time accepting it. When Mike
would ask her to do specific things, there was no time for fluffy talk. We’
re on the run. And the one thing Mike lacks is tact. There’s no time for
[LaBeouf assumes a gentle voice] ‘I would like you to just arch your back 70
degrees.’”

西亞說，梅根把這個性感的角色詮釋的很好，不過在和麥克貝合作的時候她感覺不太舒服
，因為麥克貝拍女人的手法讓一部分人覺得他是個色鬼，但這很對16歲青少年的口味，感

Huntington-Whiteley, on the other hand, must have arched her back just right
when Bay shot her in a Victoria’s Secret ad in 2009, because months after Fox
’s trash-talking peaked, the director cut the actress’ character, Mikaela
Banes,  from the third “Transformers” movie and replaced her with the
newcomer.

相反的，麥克貝在2009年拍過維多莉亞的秘密的廣告，想必當時蘿西杭亭頓的配合度應該
很高。因為在梅根放話完幾個月之後，麥克貝砍了Mikaela這個角色、並新加入另一個角色

“Rosie comes with this Victoria’s Secret background, and she’s comfortable
with it, so she can get down with Mike’s way of working and it makes the
whole set vibe very different,” LaBeouf said.

西亞說，蘿西杭亭頓之前有拍攝廣告的經驗，她也接受麥克貝的工作方式，所以能合得來
，這讓整個劇組氣氛變得不一樣。

It’s not just the set environment that changed when Huntington-Whiteley
arrived, LaBeouf said, but the relationship between his character, Sam
Witwicky, and his lady. In “Dark of the Moon,”  a Cybertronian spacecraft
has been discovered on the moon and the alien robots are stirring. Sam, who
fought beside the good-guy Autobots in two wars with the Decepticons, has
graduated from college, only to face a breakup with Mikaela and an economy
with 10% unemployment.

蘿西到劇組後，不只改變劇組氣氛，同時也改變了劇中男女主角間的關係。在第三集中，
人類在月球上發現一個宇宙飛行船，同時引起了外星人的騷動。而在前兩戰與博派一同作
戰的山姆大學畢業，面對到和Mikaela分手的窘境和10%的高失業率。

“Sam’s sort of frustrated,” LaBeouf said. “He has no purpose in life.
When he was with the Autobots, he had purpose. He was needed. But he’s got
this very supportive girl [Huntington-Whitley's Carly Miller] who’s having
him go to these job interviews and trying to nurture him, get him back on his
feet. It’s a different female energy than he experienced with Mikaela, who
was a very cold biker chick. This woman’s more of a maternal, loving type.
Sam wants a domestic, eggs-in-the-morning kind of a thing.”

西亞說，山姆有點受挫，失去對人生的目標。當他和博派一起行動時，他有目標、他也被
需要。遇到蘿西飾演的Carly Miller時，她讓山姆去了一些工作面試，也給他能量幫助他
重回正軌，這和酷酷的機車女孩Mikaela帶給他的感受完全不一樣。Carly是個較有母性、
適合戀愛的型。山姆對圓滿的家庭生活較有憧憬。

Domestic bliss? In a Michael Bay movie? Sounds like the end of the world.
