我不知道這一段文字的電影台詞, 不過原著小說是這樣寫的:

What if we just acknowledged that we have a bad relationship,
and we stuck it out, anyway? What if we admitted that we make
each other nuts, we fight constantly and hardly ever have sex,
but we can't live without each other, so we deal with it? And
then we could spend our lives together --- in misery, but happy
to not be apart.

大意是: 我們何不就承認我們的關係很糟, 常常惹對方生氣,
也幾乎不做愛了? 但因為我們無法沒有對方而活, 何不就接
受這個事實? 這樣一來我們就可以共同生活, 雖然活的痛苦,
但會因不用分開而感到喜悅.
