2001年，美國電影學會從400片提名電影中，評選出100片百年來最偉大的驚悚片名單，作
為美國電影學院的「百年百大」系列的一個重要部分——「AFI百年百大驚悚電影」（
AFI's 100 Years... 100 Thrills）。

「緊張大師」亞弗列德·希區考克在百大驚悚片中，主導了9部電影（驚魂記、北西北、
