VIOLA DAVIS:
I was eight years old when I decided to be an actor. And I am
just so privileged to be gazing on the beautiful face of the woman who
inspired me that beautiful day, and that’s Cicely Tyson. [applause]

And when I woke up and realized how difficult it was to be an actor,
and how the rejection was so high, then another beautiful face
graced the screen when I was in college,
and that was Meryl, who just… [applause]…always inspires me.





But there’s so many people involved in “The Help,” in lieu of
mentioning all them, I just have to say that, what is there but a dream. You
can’t trade in your dream for another dream.

I am so proud to be an actor, and I thank the Screen Actors Guild for this
award. And I have a special, special note to the kids in Central Falls, Rhode
Island, in Segue Institute of Learning in Central Falls, Rhode Island: to
dream big and dream fierce. Thank you very much. [applause]

這位曾經在2008年跟梅莉史翠普一起因同一部入圍奧斯卡 女配角項目的黑人女星
在梅莉史翠普因為誘‧惑(Doubt)於SAG(美國演員工會)得獎的時候，
讓梅莉致詞不忘記提到：


   The gigantically gifted Viola Davis — my God, somebody give her a movie!"
   超有才華的薇拉戴維斯，天哪~!誰快給她一部電影!!!!

如今，在今年即將與梅莉史翠普一同競爭奧斯卡




以下是她在影評人協會的得獎感言
很多人用Truly incredible, inspiring ,impressive , heartfelt 來形容
影音檔被拿掉了 但還是想要給大家看~~




"They say the two most important days in a person’s life is the day you're
born and the day you discover why you're born.

他們說有人生說兩個重要的日子，一個是你出生的那天，一個是你發現你為何出生的那天


Five hours on the bus going to acting classes when I was 14-years-old and
coming from very challenging circumstances.

當我十四歲的時候，我在非常有挑戰的情況下，花五個小時來往演戲課程的路途







I absolutely knew I wanted to be an actor because I wanted to be somebody.
I wanted to dream big, and make a mark somehow.
And that's something absolutely Aibileenwas not afforded.
我當時絕對知道，我想要成為一個演員，因為我想要成為一個大人物。
我想要懷有大的夢想，然後做件大事。
這絕對是艾比琳(The Help故事女主角)所沒辦法擔起的

I considered it my honor to pay homage to these women of this time period
who were not allowed to dream and not allowed to find their purpose.
But thank God and praise God that they gave birth to me,
 my mother, and my grandmother.
And I thank Kathryn Stockett for writing The Help.

對我而言這是我的榮幸，去對於在那些在那個年代不被允許有夢想，
而且不被允許找到他們的人生目標的女性，致上敬意。
感謝主也讚美主，我的母親以及我的祖母生了我，而且我也感謝Kathryn寫了The Help




"I am absolutely so honored to be in the company of so many women of so many
sizes and ages and races, and to be a part of a story that is such an
incredible part of American history, to show, you know what, despite the
atrocities that have happened in the past, friendship and love can help us
find our way. Thank you very much."

我絕對感到非常榮幸能夠跟這麼多不同名聲、年齡、種族的女性一起在這項目競爭，
而且我也深感榮幸能在美國歷史上，參與到一段不可思議的部分。你知道嗎？
即使在過去曾發生不愉快的事情，友誼以及愛能夠幫助我們找到自己的方向。

非常感謝大家。
