Taiwan's first all-girl Chinese orchestra is formed by 10 beautiful girls
from different universities in Taiwan: Vicky (playing dizi), Cream (liuqin),
Charlene (yangqin), Irene (zhongruan), Ayaki (guzheng), Ashley (percussion),
Ria (percussion), Tiffany (cello), Iaya (erhu), and Rainie (main vocal).
Under the management of famous composer Liu Shueh Shuan and the artistic
direction of erhu performer Wang Ming Hua, Musou Band members are not simply
musicians, as they are all-round talents who are trained in singing, dancing,
and acting. Fusing traditional Chinese and modern Western music styles, Musou
Band's self-titled debut album is set to make Chinese instruments-based music
hip again.
The DVD contains a 70-minute behind-the-scenes special on the band, and a
slideshow of 413 photos of the band members

10人の美女による台湾初の女子中国伝統楽器ユニット、無双楽団 （Musou Band）のデ
ビュー作！
無双楽団は2008年12月に結成。台湾の有名作曲家／プロデューサーの劉学軒（リウ・
シュエシュエン）氏が発案し、100人以上の候補者の中から選りすぐりの10人が選ばれ
た。メンバーはすべて台湾各地の大学で中国音楽を学んだという、まさに才色兼備の実
力派ぞろいだ。
今作は台湾の国家国楽団（ナショナルチャイニーズオーケストラ）首席、第20回金曲奨
で「最優秀クロスオーバーアルバム賞」を受賞した二胡奏者の王明華（ワン・ミンホァ
）が指導。「無雙」、「絶代」といった10曲の楽曲に加え、ボーカル担当の林予涵（レ
イニー・リン）が歌う「是誰」、「愛恨千年」を加えた12曲が収録されている。
付属のDVDは105分と見応えたっぷり。ライブ映像はもちろん、ステージや広告撮影、テ
レビ出演、写真集「無雙誌」などのメイキング、そしてトレーニング風景で彼女たちの
素顔に触れられる。さらに中国のテレビ局・湖南衛視によるインタビューの様子をレイ
ニーがリポートするほか、413枚ものスナップ写真をスライドショーで楽しめるなど至
れり尽くせり！
