Calvino的書很多--當然我沒有全都讀過
這一本有什麼特別呢?

yeah, some of them are just selected stories edited by other people.
i just changed my nickname.. of course that's not my favorite one..
numbers...didn't u think when someone got stuck in his/her school work
will have the " in the dark" feeling?
if i major in literature, i might use" letters in the dark"..
i guessed the book was beside me when i'm typing that nickname, don't take
it too seriously.

several weeks ago i was trying to read all of his war time and post war stories
(for history report)
but gave it up ...

不知道你有沒有發生過The Flash裡面那種感覺?常常看中文覺得那方塊字好怪
更奇怪的是我看英文有時都覺得那腓尼基字母好怪...
The fascination and wondrous strangeness of everyday objects,
重新用嬰兒的眼光去看這世界其實是很珍貴的一種經驗呢!

我覺得還是Numbers用的好
數字常常給人一種絕對而清楚明亮的感覺,
不像一般文字那麼ambiguous,因此"Numbers" In the Dark 這樣的
書名算是一種promise of irony,一種讓你去讀它的誘餌.
這種"技倆"Calvino用的很高明,
像Invisible Cities當初一看到書名我就忍不住去翻...

in fact, "numbers"一文只是裏頭的其中一個short story
這本小說集應該是後人匯集命名的

還有Umberto Eco的玫瑰的名字 傅柯擺 Island of the Day Before
這位符號學大師 對書名也很有研究的感覺

his first novel
