Verse forms are the necessary nothing to poetry. They are the nets and
trellises that control the growth of poems. Therefore, when writing a poem,
the poet should let the plant decide the helper. If a poem needs a trellise
to climb around, it shall be granted one; on the other hand, if a poem is
born to be grown in the field like a watermelon, do not bother to give it
anything to clamber. Let the idea decide the form.
