The quest does not end here. The journey with PowLluimniz to the
dark realm is a metaphor for every trip we take into the very inside
of ourselves, seeking for the real Self, a truer Self. Only by plunging
into the bottomless darkness -- again and agin -- can one understand
that Self, and Life and Death, and everything within the two.
After traveling with PowLluimniz over the territory of darkness,
he led you to a forsaken plaza surrounded by ancient pillars inscribed
with sophisticated runes, in the heart of which lay a rusty, brass
gate leading seemingly to a dreadful, gloomy crypt. You looked at him,
casting a doubtful stare, but he remained silent. Thinking he meant
that you venture into the crypt alone, you slowly dipped your feet
into the unknown, and shivered a bit unconsciously. You, nearly buried
the whole body of yours, turned and made the last glance, but from
his chain mask read nothing.
What awaited you was a giant spiral staircase. You could not see the
end of it. On the wall dwelt a snake-like poem, gyring downward with
the staircase. And, finally, after you descended to the bottom, you saw
a round platform. In the center of it was a black coffin, half-opened.
Instinctively you climbed into the coffin, and immured yourself inside
the death-box. You needed to know the beginning of that poem.
