"Consolation in sorrow" THE HUSSAR And so the time has come. My horse must be saddled. And I must ride, For such is my resolve. Begone from me. My part is clear! My love for you is a fool's love. I can live my life without you. Without you I can feel happy; And so I mount my horse And drink a glass of cooling wine And swear by my beard To be true to you for ever. THE GIRL You think you are the handsomest man In all the wide world; The most agreeable as well! But you are much mistaken! In my father's garden There blooms a lovely flower, And I will only wait Till it has grown taller. So, you go your way! My part is clear. My love for you is a fool's love, I can live my life without you, Without you I can feel happy. BOTH You think I will take you for my own! That has long been far from my mind, For I must be ashamed of you When I am in good company. -- if music be the food of love, tho' yet the treat is only sound. Sure I must perish by your charms, unless you save me in your arms. ---- Heveningham/Weichin Chen -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.csie.ntu.edu.tw) ◆ From: 61.226.56.97
