最近剛接觸英詩...教授考試要出一題分析...
我事先試著分析...但不知道正不正確...且有些地方不知怎麼分析
所以希望各位能幫忙看看...並訂正指教^^
關於Robert Frost Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening的分析
1.Whose woods these are I think I know.
2.His house is in the village though;
3.He will not see me stopping here
4.To see his woods fill up with snow
5.My little horse must think it queer
6.To stop without a farmhouse here
7.Between the woods and frozon lake
8.The darkest evening of the year.
9.He gives his harness bells a shake
10.To ask if there is some mistake.
11.The only other sound's the sweep
12.Of easy wind and downy flake.
13.The woods are lovely, dark and deep,
14.But I have promises to keep,
15.And miles to go before I sleep,
16.And miles to go before I sleep.
就meter來講,關於他的metrical feet & metrical lines
我真的不知該怎麼分析...因為若是用自己的方式來唸的話
重音可能會跟作者原先的意思不一樣
目前據我的推測,這首詩為masculine ending
end-stopped line:1.2.13.14.15.16
run-on line:3.4.5.6.7.8.9.10.11.12
Patterns of Sound
perfect rhyme
Stanzaic Patterns
Couplet(我的猜測)
不過讓我疑問的是他的詩(如上面打的)都是押1.2.4
3的部分則是跟下一段的主要押運一樣
那他的Stanzaic Patterns到底是???
