[amadeus1223 (L'amor Celeste)]

I lay in the wintry sunlight with ease,
  And Zephyr caressed my leisure body,
  With fair Solitude's faithful company,
Whose omnipresence did me so much please.
There on my knees rested some leaves in peace:
  The lines of the Ever-Enclosed Lady.
  "The lonely Rambling Stone is so happy;"
He said, "in sole freedom joy shall increase!"

Yet in a sudden halted was our delight.
  Walking by hand in hand was a sweet Pair,
    To whom I tried to give a carefree sneer,
  But choked was I by their amorous air,
    So I turned to my friend Solitude dear,
Whom I found fleeing in a shameful flight.
