So did I this white envelope unfold With my shaking hands and faint-beating heart The lovely replying lines to behold: Would Fate smile on me or from me depart? "Dear Amadeus" was the initial part. "Dear" she called me! O heavenly address! So cheap a mark pierced me as Eros' dart!
