Argument: There is no such love that seeks no reward, For that love is false, but desires are true. "Love is not love," as some saint-like men say, "When one's thoughts dwell upon 'give and gain;' Love goes without desire," they preach again, "It shall shine with Christ's sacrificial ray." So I weave my heart in a lovely lay Of the sacred music without self's stain, And plant the seed of Love in a sweet plain, Watering it with fear day after day. Every day I tend it with selfless love; Every day my wild passion goes unanswered; Every day I have my blind self flattered: "My heart seeking no prize can true love prove!" On the last day my dark secret desire Burns the Rose of Love in a lustful pyre. -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 140.119.203.47
