i remember what you say
about remembering
the past is the same
as forgetting it because
some things die
long before you do

i hate it when people ask
'do you believe in god?'
as if believing in myself
isn't enough
to imagine a better future
with the ones i love

i have lost my voice to
mimic human speech
now it's time to be
hungry and dizzy and
circle the world like
banana flies
