[創作] Reflections (Return to Me)

[hecati (重度CSI癮者,勿近!!!)]

**FORE-NOTE: This poem is consisted of my original work and an already
             existing song. The lyrics (here in blue) are in Spanish,
             and I have put down beneath each stanza the exact English
             translation (in gray)I used as reference during the making of
             this poem, as the song itself is connected with and represents
             the emotional aspect of the entire poem.

             The song is "Regresa a mi" from Il Divo, and much inspiration had
             come from the band as well.

Sorrowful eyes, quivering lips
The delicate hand that slipped down my face
And slipped away into the darkness alone.

Along with them the lingering scent

Recuperemos lo que se ha perdido
(To touch your skin once again and sigh deeply
 We can recoverwhat we have lost)

Now I walk with my brothers in Roma's streets
Smiling to the camera, I cannot hear their laughter
A blood red rose against my black suit
A single rose in the night

Regresa a mi, quiereme otra vez
Borra el dolor que al irte me dio
Cuando te separaste de mi
(Return to me, love me once again
 Erase the pain your leaving gave me
 when you separated from me)

Four roses for the gentlemen
All at the cathedral door resting
One rose near my heart
The only one that's missing

Dime que si
Yo no quiero llorar
Regresa a mi
(Tell me why
 I don't want to cry
 Return to me)

In this cafe full of chattering strangers
As foreign as this newspaper I find
My pocket watch stares back at me mockingly
As my hopes elope with time

Extrano el amor que se fue
Extrano la dicha tambien
Quiero que vengas a mi y me vuelvas a querer
(It's strange that his love has gone
 Strange, and she also says this
 I want you to come back to me and to want me once again)

The sweet murmurs outside my window do not reach my ear
Nor returns the normal life once I held so dear
Just like the rose I placed on my desk --

On stage standing side by side
Singing we let our feelings slip
A wave of emotion swallows me whole
I taste salty tears on my lips

With a thread of hope, I search the dark audience
