I can write the sweetest love song of all tonight
write,for intance,"i wanna die while you love me
while yet you hold me fair
while laughter lies upon my lips
and lights are in my hair."

but music,when real loves die,vibrates in the memory
like candle burns at both ends,
it will not last the night
now that i am without you, all is so desolate
and all that once was so beautiful is dead

i can write the saddest love song of all tonight
to think i've never have him,
to think that i've never lost him
what does it matter that my love couldn't keep him
the night is full of stars and he'll never with me

he no longer loves me,true
but i love him still
love is so short and oblivion so long

although this may be the last pain he causes me
and this maybe the last song i write for him
