So pick a rhyme and pattern----do not fear! Just come with me and we'll go traipsing there, Without a thought to words and meanings dear To all those who have heavier weights to bear! Sing the song of joyful liberty: The perfect freedom flowing from my heart And breaking forms of textual chastity To bring new levels to this glorious art! I speak, i shout, i start with capitals And end in exclamations to my pen! Rejoice, for time is fleeing us withal---- She's running for the hills of madison! Don't ask, don't seek for me to answer you! Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy while you still can! The forces of interpretation rue How we perceive them as the taliban! So fie! now fie! to limitations hence Of methods, meanings, and traditions old! We break, we burst, we spring over the fence In spite of, or because of, what we're told! To hell with meaning! writing does not come From messages, intentions to express! Thus death now to the author, hum-dee-dum! The text itself says more, and so much less! Why waste my time on words and syllables! The rhymes themselves outside semantics lie, A field that seems to be so killable---- We will not miss its swan song, its last cry! No thought! not hought! noth ought! jus twords that flick A big fat middlefinger in your face Linguistics! struct'ralisem! die! you dick! Go die and leave us hence without a trace! What no! i never spell my words awry! A wry, aw ry, awr y, awe-ry, awe me! So give a fresh and jolly new supply! Or else i'll give you a vasectomy! Like this and ho and hey and what are these! The sounds i need to fabricate my play! No one but me can ever seem to please! The corpulent saint nicholas today! And words they come and go just like the rain! Dapaddapaddapaddapaddemus! I will not stop, i cannot, not in vain! Nunc libertatem ipsa habemus! Illustrious political deny! Natura et fortuna te trahit! The lights! turn out the lights! they blind my eye! Amabo te, si carmen laudavit! Wekadeyamalardomatayai! Yiloodemo! the end cannot be far! Zipookimuteblimanutelai! The irony is that, even though the poem is about freedom, the meter and rhyme scheme are all of the highest regularity. Also, the poem can be interpreted as what happens to the mind when it has too much freedom; the resulting insanity practically oozes from between the letters of the title, which are separated by spaces that provide enough room for the insane poet to make sure he spells the word right. Just some thoughts. ※ 編輯: spacedunce5 來自: 61.228.76.185 (12/16 22:49)
