Why, O Seneca, do you force your characters to speak in multiple lengthy stanzas and torture me so? Be a bit more considerate of my stomach full of meat and rich dessert, and let some of my oxygen go where it's needed. Your evocative apostrophic descriptions of Athenian landscape fall on deaf ears when Greece today is known best for its money woes and ludicrously carefree Hollywood tales; your allusions to deities and local gods rebound off my eyes as if they had hit mirrors. Your words flow over me like a soothing hot shower after I've run a message to Marathon and back. But my skin is getting pruned, so please, please, please just get to the damn point. -- 英語文工作室 http://www.wretch.cc/blog/jsengstudio/ 個板 defenestrate -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 122.124.103.208
