How do you say it?
How do you tell her
that is not what you meant,
that is not what you meant at all?

How do you tell her that
you thought she was the concierge,
that you were not judging her,
debasing her or insulting her?

How do you begin to explain
it was all a misunderstanding,
those five little words
that you cannot take back?

How do you start
to make up for such a gaffe
as saying to the pretty girl:
"How much for one night?"
