Sun lurching down the street
with gray opaqueness
Coldly gently inexorably
Time elapsing, People eclipsing
Overcast with overcoat

Heading as usual, we were
along with solitude

The lightest lightness
The brightest brightness
The darkest darkness

So the World acclaims and keels down to
The indubitably visible
The physically capable
Head and Tail and Black and White
lost the twilight zone

So we greet the knowable, chant the sayable,
Babble and gabble the estimable

And the thing in between
blurring bleeding bellowing
and the things in between left unseen
with civil deliberateness
and the things in between left unseen
with lovely lovely tenderness
under sacred patronages in the necropolis
where the Dead remains the Angel dreads the Man not dares

Yet the thing I remembered
The being I kissed
The shadow I embraced
The phantom I made love to
The life I lived
The death I died

Yet the thing I remembered
The silhouette of mine
Where
the great grayness lied

Yet the thing I remembered
The thing they dislike
The thing dispossessed from solemn consciousness
The thing they deny
And the thing I remembered and run away from
The thing I held and turned myself into sometimes
The thing imprinted in our unawareness
The thing by which I have been haunted
The thing in its hollow concreteness

Such a thing
A Goodman never has never do never dream of
A thing outcast even in the most marginal
A thing never exists in the souls of
all fathers and mothers and brothers and sisters
As they all believe

The concepts are clearly defined and categorized
As mutually exclusive as
the house of God vs. the land of Ghost

The thing I remembered
The thing they disremember
The thing in between
