Ten Ways of Listening to the Eagle (An imitation of Stevens' "Thirteen Ways of Looking at the Blackbird") 1 Along ten clamorous streets, the only sound I hear is the voice of an eagle. 2 Within the gyre of the eagle's soaring, all sounds are but one cry. 3 Inside, the mad composer craving inspiration for polyphony. Outside, the eagle flying to and fro, crying, crying. 4 Opening the window, she catches the eagle flying, thinking that she hears the sound of the eagle. She doesn't notice someone closes the door. 5 On hearing that eerie sound, he closes his door at once, and puts on his headphone, fearing with unknown reasons. 6 After the cry, the boy said, "the eagle is sad." After the cry, the girl said, "the eagle is happy." After the cry, mom said, "let's go." 7 The eagle swims into the distant light, and disappears. Do I hear the sound of the cry, or merely its echoes? 8 In the cage, the eagle sits on the artificial branch, coldly staring people coming to and fro, crying for its cry. 9 After the cry, the edge of the ripple sways on and on. 10 The eagle whirling in the dawn, The rest is silence. -- 因為系上某門課的作業,是要寫一首詩的imitation 於是便選了Wallace Stevens的黑鳥詩,然後作了這首... 恩,第一次PO自己的作品... -- Clov: Finished, it's finished, nearly finished, it must be nearly finshed. ~ "Endgame" -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 140.119.201.77
