So i've walked uphill
and smelt the coldness, silent
in the rain the rain the rain

and watched the road up
coat wet, shoes soaked, glasses blurred
in the rain the rain the rain

This is later, i think
in the wind and the rain
and it's now

after the reticence
after the goodbye, after all that
in the rain the rain the rain
