You yelled her name in your silence
while i begged you for recognition.
You cradled her in your empty arms
while i lay beside you, yearning.
And when you left me in a death
of my own doing, at your instigation,
and when you went to her and gave
her everything you promised to me,
I cried your name in tearless hate
while i begged for your return,
I fabricated you from the shadows
of my soul's complete darkness.
And when she left you in the
recognition of your wrongdoings,
and when you came to me wrought
through with remorse and self-hatred,
when you promised me everything yet
still offered me nothing buy you,
I whispered your name into the
fragile spaces between us,
I wrapped your sobbing form into
my arms, against my bosom,
And I promised you forever, again,
a new forever starting then,
and I feel this forever starting to
tear at the seams of reality
and I see the bleak future of
our undoing, of my never being
able to tell you "no."
