Un-understood Poetry
lethargic
Plump slug living
in warm mud stuck
un-struck, museless.
emotion
Sink into a redyellowblue
roller-coaster pit within,
without motion, broken.
Reach for the warm solitary
hand, swallow a pill,
wake up tall and straight,
belly-scarred and rounded --
on a ferris wheel.
Do not recite poetry,
beautiful words molded to fit
your im-perceptions of me.
love
On a ferris wheel (no roller-coaster)
laughing at myself through
your eyes. Curling up to rest
on the root of your lash
to sleep on a warm speckle
of me.
