【 在 akn (akn) 的大作中提到: 】 : 【 在 EPS.bbs@bbs.ntu.edu.tw (服下這株忘悠草) 的大作中提到: 】 : : Of course, no one will use a radio-quiet quasar for radio calibration. : 1.really?????But I thought that the numbers of radio-loud QSOs is too small, : do we really only use radio-loud QSO as the standard galaxy?I am not : familiar with this field. Can you tell me more about it?Thanks! I guess I was wrong but I'm not sure. The calibrators are probably all radio-quiet quasars. Radio-loud ones usually have lobes or jets, right? These cannot be used as calibrator. Nevertheless, there are enough quasars for calibration usage. To see whether they are radio-loud or radio-quiet, you can go to the VLA calibrator list: http://www.aoc.nrao.edu/~gtaylor/csource.html to see what the typical flux is. Then you can check any AGN book to see what the common devision flux between radio-loud and radio-quiet is. -- ※ 來源:‧南十字 crux.chem.nsysu.edu.tw‧[FROM: galileo.IfA.Hawaii.E]
