What does the XX on patches mean?
Double X” in industry phrasing means Double Extra Heavy.”
It first referred to the denim, used on lot 501R Waist Overalls,
that we bought from the Amoskeag Manufacturing Company from 1873-1915.
When the patent on the riveting process was going to expire,
we started putting XX on the external guarantee ticket.
Once the patent expired, everyone could make riveted clothing so we
wanted people to know that they were buying genuine Lev
i’sR garments.
它的意思是" Double Extra Heavy" 而外加重的意思,可能就是指磅數更重的單寧布吧!!
