我除了 9xi 外, 也有一部 700si, 對焦速度很好, 很快 (記憶中比 EOS-100 + 28-80
f/4-5.6 USM 更快), 也很準確, 和 9xi 差不多.

大部份 xi 系列停產了! 剩下一部 Minolta 至今仍是頂級的頂級機 9xi. 700si
大約要四千至五千元.

第一代是連 "i" 都沒有的 ,
如 7000 , 9000 & 5000 !

別小看這個小閃燈 , 日間補光時就剛剛好 !!
當然 , 你要用它來拍大場面 , 或者昏暗中當 "主光" 的話 ,
未免太苛求的了 !!
9xi 的手柄因為沒有甚麼 control dial /butter 在上面 ,
自然不能跟 700si/600si 的比的了 !!
也許當時沒有考慮那麼多的吧 ??

有兩個問題, 一) 只得三米範圍 (如果 f/5.6, 更只得兩米), 取景方面比較困難.
二) 內置閃燈不能調較角度, 效果麻麻. 當然, 如你所說, 亦有便利之處, 不過多買
一個外置閃燈當然更好啦! 對不?

Notice that both EOS 5 and 50 focuses more slowly than the "cheap"
EOS 100---although this is due to the fact that 5 and 50 have more
AF sensors. If you enable only 1 sensor, the focusing of EOS 5 is
very fast.
There are 2 hand grips for 9xi: one is just a hand grip, with nothing.
The other is a 4AA battery pack. Both have no shutter release buttons.
They do not allow you to take vertical pictures. There have been
reports that 700si always rewinds automatically at 36, and so does
Canon EOS 5 and 100. 9xi does not have this problem. Notice that
some people can take 42 pictures out of a roll of 36 exp. Ilford film,
and there are also people who roll bulk film into film cartridges by
themselves.
9xi has a metal mirror chamber and a zinc alloy baseplate. All the
other cameras mentioned above are completely plastic except the mount.
If you think about it, Minolta does not have the fame of Canon. If it
does not make faster focusing camera bodies and sell them at cheaper
prices, who would use Minolta at all ? They also make the world's only
24-85 zoom lens and you can find a used 28-135 at a very cheap price.
But Canon has an attractive L series, and they make the only lenses with
BOTH tilt and shift. Although even a water goods 24/3.5 TS-E L costs
over HK$10,000, IMO it is well worth the price. I am an ex-Canon user
and not being able to use such a fabulous lens is both an advantage
(I keep the $ in my own pocket) and a disadvantage (unable to take
architecture pictures to my satisfaction).
