前天去南陽街踅了一趟, 拿了一份來欣留學報導... 上面登有本系一位學長的經驗
談...此人GRE 2140.. A & Q both are full marks (滿分). 大家可去看看他寫的.....
不過此人外號叫唬王...大家參考點就是了,千萬別學他那套...除非你自認跟他屬同等級.
但是他寫的有一點很對, 就我以前考的經驗也有相同的結論:
用英文思考

有志高分者( > 2000 ) 請看, 由其邏輯的份量加重之後....
如果想提高你做邏輯得速率...
Think about the two guys.. One read English, then translate it into
Chinese, and then think its logic and then translate it in English to match
an answer (Or translate each choice into Chinese). The other read in English
and then respond in English to check out answers directly. Which one has
faster speed? It is out of the question.
But how do one think in English????? My senior suggests that one should
find a book introducing math and about topology.. Geee... If you have this
kind industry, congradulations! I think you must get over 2100 easily.....
Whereas it is out of question for most people... So.....
Huhhhh.... Alas....
People who take GRE almost study engineering and science. Logic thinking.
is not hard for them any more because logic in GRE is not difficult and logic
thinking is strongly trained in studying. So the problem is seldom using
English in thought. If you didn't learn by Chinese version textbooks before,
you must think in English more or less. Therefore, you just enhance to think
'clearly' and 'impressively' at least once. If you loafed on the studying
reading Chinese versions, you must pay for it somewhat... Don't discourage so
soon! It is never too late to mend, isn't it? Practice it ! In the beginning
it is somewhat difficult. And you will feel uneasy and impatient.. Don't
forget well begun is half done! And beginning is the most difficult and
fatigued part. Enduring this time will earn more for the future!
Whether it is worthwhile to spend so much for high grades?! I could not
say yes or not.. It depends on individual. Some go to the best schools with
so so GRE grades.

By the way, to think logic does NOT mean that you must think of writing
articles or sentences in English. Just think of logic! And you will find
English is more logical than Chinese. And it will help you much!

Mmmm.... think of logic 比較簡單
只要會如 if..., then ..... , and, or, not, nor, ... etc.
若你是念理工, 就是按照平時思考方式, 只是省去'translation'的工作...
在作邏輯時, 這樣會比較快. :)
Mmmm.. 我前後文的用英文思考的定義不同... 所以把你搞混了.. 對不起!
而一般說的用英文思考是說'按照英文用法來思考'...
這層面就比上述廣很多....
但是一個會用英文思考的並不表示他會邏輯思考...

基本上, 邏輯思考與語言思考是兩回事, 只是一個需仰賴另一個表現,
所以正確一點的說法是熟悉用英文來表達你的邏輯概念....你不需經
中文翻譯, 你就能思考邏輯....你也不需背句型, 你才會用英文想邏
輯...
