標題[問題] 國外教授的回信

這邊是我去申請國外當visiting student的回信
然後..其實我大概了解這篇的回信的涵義
但是並不是很清楚

Thank you for the enquiry. This sounds like an interesting possibility.
I have a couple of questions. First, have you been performing the very
nice TEM work that appears in your publications? For relatively short
stay, I think it is important that you would be able to "hit the ground
running" as far as TEM goes, although you would have to probably learn
the new instrumentation. Second, would it be possible for you to focus
on alloys other than Al? I am not clear how this year-long period is
supposed to mesh with your thesis work. Please provide a little more
information in this regard.

第一點主要意思是
曾經拍過很漂亮的ＴＥＭ嘛？
還是問我是不是一直都是從事ＴＥＭ的研究嘛？
（其實大概都是問我ＴＥＭ好不好 I know)
（其實我有附兩篇著作,上面都是照片,還是他想看更好的？？還是沒看到..）
第二點
他不清楚這段期間本來假設是怎樣用來完成我剩下的論文研究
其實他想要我做其他合金研究...
