有一些版友寫信問了我要怎麼挑選的問題，
不然開了十幾個網頁看到後來就累了也眼花撩亂，
因為我現在剛好正在寫幾個申請的project，
所以可以大概分享一下我搜尋的方式，希望不會太占版面。
一開始我覺得有必要先稍微說明一下獎學金的大致種類：
（這裡先跳過TA/RA的部分）
1.student loan：就是借款，利息、還期不一。
2.grant：通常是出席國際會議的補助，或是針對某一議題進行研究所給的補助，或是交
換計畫（典型的像東西文化交流中心的方案），好像大多是基金會性質給的。
3.intership：到某機構或學校或國家實習。
4.tution waiver：學費的減免，通常是各學校自己內部發的，印象中給大學生比較多。
5.scholarship/fellowship：就是一般認知上的獎學金（我不太曉得這兩個要怎麼分，
全額or半額？），要寫申請表，有些會有附帶申請上了之後要發表或run一些project的義
務。
確認自己想要什麼之後，接下來就是開始進行搜尋啦。
第一步我會建議先去各自學校的international center或student service office之類的
網站上找，一方面是這些地方有針對各校學生最直接相關的獎助學金資訊，另外則是可以
在上頭找到很多不錯的搜尋引擎。除了我上一篇提到的那些之外，再補充幾個國際學生用

再開始搜尋前，可以自己先做一個大致上的分類。
因為很多獎學金大多是給美國公民或是有永久居留身分的人，
所以這時候就可以先用關鍵字挑「international」或是「non–U.S. citizens」之類的
選項，
接下來，再以「graduate」或「undergraduate」的類別去區分。
然後，就像aboa版友說的，美國大部分獎學金是給已經在run dissertation的博士候選人
，所以還在修課的或像我們這種剛進去的，其實能夠找的範圍就可以再更限縮（會縮到很
小喔！）所以dissertation fellowship那一類的都可以直接剔除了 XD
做出初步篩選後，就可以針對「地域」、「科系」、「特殊條件」等再去做進一步挑選，
最後就是好好的去寫申請計畫了。
想到還有幾點需要注意：
1.有些獎學金會限定不能同時領取其他機構的funding，或是領有公費的同學是否牴觸教
育部的規定，這些要自己注意，我的經驗是大多數小額的獎學金是不會設限的。
2.女性、少數族群、難民等group通常會自己另外有一個category，所以也可以在地域類
別中注意Asian那一塊。另外，emergency funding或有financial need的也通常被歸類在
另一區，這類的通常要附帶提出身分上或財務需求上的證明。
3.有些獎學金除了申請計畫之外，會要求interview，這時候就要考慮花機票錢飛過去的
成本是否值得投資，例如roothbertfund就很貼心地說他們的面試地點只在紐約、費城、
DC等地，且不會支付面試者的機票錢。
