Regarding assistantship...
All the students admitted to gatech chemE will be offered assistantship
regardless of Master or PhD. I recommend for a PhD since there are more
resources for PhD.
THe ultimate goal of the school is to recruite someone
who could stay and do research. So you have a higher chance to apply for
a PhD with full assistantship.
Our salary increases by approximately USD 1000 per year. The rate of increase
depends on the stipend they offer to the incoming batch. In other words,
they will match your stipend with the new students every year...almost.
