剛剛收到拒絕信，心情稍微振了一下。還好只申請兩間，而且還充充忙忙申請的。
小弟是將在今年五月在美國拿到碩士學位，
背景是運動科學（半路出家，碩士）＋特殊教育（大學）
大概就是所謂的「適應體育」。
全美大概有這領域PHD program， 根據2006年的統計資料，
只有七間還八間（上星期查到官方資料才發現）
這次申請的學校有兩間。
第一間是維吉尼亞大學（UVA）對方教授要我，但被拒絕的原因是ibt過期
結果即使教授要我，但語言方面Graduate Admissions那邊不准，錢都灑下去了，哈
所以早早就收到email通知資格不符，連送審到系上的資格都沒有。
第二間是奧勒岡州立大學（OSU），就不管IBT過期的問題，
因為我在美國即將有學位了
直到今天Graduate School是說沒上的原因有什麼分數過低阿，等等的罐頭文。
我就馬上寫信給之前有通過信的教授 不到十分鐘很回覆了下面的內容
Your application was very good, and your potential for contributions
to the field of APA is also very positive. The biggest reasons for
lack of acceptance is that we have too many doctoral students in
the program for the number of faculty we currently have.
Last year, one of our faculty members chose to take another job,
and thus we only have me and Dr. Yun. We are currently searching
for new faculty member to work with us. In addition, we have a
doctoral training grant from the US Dept of Education.
That grant can only fund US citizens (an agency requirement and
not our preference). Therefore, we needed to select from those
students who could use the funding from our grant.
These limitations of the number of faculty in our MSD program and
requirements for funding US students, made it difficult for us to
extend an offer of admission to OSU.
I will look forward to meeting you in the future.
歸納被拒絕的原因，
1. 獎學金只給美國人，大家要問清楚有多少餘額分給你這個國際學生
2. 系上沒教授了
3. 這個program，PHD學生好幾個是亞洲某國籍的學生
（裡面有玄機，之前這位美國教授跟我說的，有興趣要去念的人，再問我）
說沒有失望，是騙人的，倒沒有特別失望而感到世界末日。
本來就沒有計畫非念PHD不可，雖然也喜歡作研究的感覺，
但緣份告訴我該回台灣奉獻了。^^
所以當初只申請兩間，而且是確定UVA沒上後，被UVA教授說，OSU獎學金比較多
去那邊機會更大，結果獎學金都是給美國人的，其他補助是給亞洲某國籍的學生了。
所以，我就收到一張扎扎實實的好學生卡了。
