荒廢英文已經四年多了，僅供參考。

我把這篇拆成單句式解釋，
這樣比較好讀，討論時也比較不容易失焦。

首先，如果單純以溝通的角度，
我相信這篇意思傳達清楚，不容易造成誤會，
但如果以寫作或正式情況，以下僅供參考。

第一句：
「Also, use English to talk was very
great experience.」
1. use應該改成using，不然沒有主詞。
2. was應該改成is。
聽者第一時間理解這句的意思會變成
「以前用英文聊天是非常美好的經驗」，
那麼他接著可能會想
「難道現在用英文聊天的經驗
就不再那麼好了嗎？」
如此一來，was應該改成is。

我猜教科書上可能會寫一些......
「陳述一件事實用現在簡單式」之類的話，
但我個人覺得以這句的情況，
用解釋語意並比較兩者不同更傳神，
聽者也更能體會、留下印象，降低日後錯誤率。

3. 如果把修飾也扯進來，可以改成「Talking
in English is very great experience.」
我不能說「using English to talk」是錯誤，
但可以聽得出來這種說法不是用英文思考，
而是中文思考，
接著在腦海翻譯成英文，再說或寫出來。

第二句：
「Being a student, I am powerless to
give any advice to you.」
4. （修飾） 我能理解用powerless的意思，
但這個字通常用來形容生理機能(strength)
力有未逮的情況。

一時能想到的改寫方式如下：
I am unable (或not able to) to give/provide
I am not capable of giving/providing
I am weak at giving/providing
I am not good at giving/providing
I am not good/professional enough to give/provide

5. （修飾）give可以考慮用provide。

第三句：
「But English has a major influence on
life development.」
6. but用於句首僅限非正式場合，
所以建議第二句句末改逗號，
第三句but改成小寫。

7. 如果堅持第二句逗號不變，
but就要用別的字代替，例如：
however、yet或nevertheless，
一時只想到這三個。
8. life development前面的介系詞似乎該用in。

第四句：
「As a result, I suggest that you can find
something you need before the interview.」
9. that可以省略，非文法錯誤。
然而，如果正式場合，建議加一下「比較好」。
然而，如果是考試，強烈建議必加，
因為台灣英語教育９９％死板、死板、再死板。

10. suggest的後方如果加子句，
用法確實是should加原形動詞，而should可省略。
關於這個文法問題，說來慚愧，
我個人無法提供撇步。

11. suggest也可以替換成recommend或advise，
但用法（即文法）不一樣。

稍微扯遠一點。
往後單字量增加時，就是動詞用法混淆之時，
加that子句、禁用that子句、
只能接受詞再加to再加原形動詞......等，
屆時更是破口大罵之時......。

一篇文章有時常需要表達同樣的意思，
但多次重覆出現同樣的字會有點繞口令的感覺，
這時候就需要用同義字代替，例如：
show、point out、indicate、declare、
exhibit、demonstrate、illustrate......等，
這時就能顯示單字量、運用及寫作能力。

第五句：
「 For instance, prepared for some answers
to the questions.」
12. prepared要改成prepare，
但這時我會建議前面的for instance
改成such as。

或如charmsrame大所建議，
改為「you can prepare...」，最簡單明瞭。

for instance/for example，後面接完整句。
such as，後面接......我不知道怎麼解釋，
舉例：
--- There are a lot of sports,
such as baseball, basketball, and volleyball.
--- There are many sex gestures,
such as... 去問板娘，她必定通曉。 XD


13. （修飾）以第四與第五句的意思，
似乎有點原地打轉，如果要修飾，我會改寫成：
As a result／Therefore／Consequently／
Thus／Accordingly／hence（逗號後）／
so（逗號後）（雖可句首，但非正式）

I suggest that you should find some
information or think about a couple of
answers to the questions which the
employer or interviewer may ask, such as
the reason that you apply for this job,
the reason that you quit for the last job,
anything you learned from the last job,
describe your achievement, describe our
products...etc.

第六句：
「I only can give this suggestion
for you, others should you ask the
EngTalk board maintainer-rrr518.」
14. 因為前面用過suggest，
這裡的suggestion就可以換成advice，
就不會感覺一直suggest、suggest、suggest，
色借司特、色借司特、色借司特。 <(￣︶￣)>

15. give要用to，buy才用for，例如：
--- I gave a birthday present to her.
--- I bought a birthday present for her.
當然，上述二句皆可更簡化為：
--- I gave her a birthday present.
--- I bought her a birthday present.

16. 我不太懂後半句的意思，
但我猜整句可能想表達的是
「我只能給你這個建議，
其他人的話你可以問英語聊天板主-rrr518。」

其實後半句可以用一句商業用語：
「Should／Had you have any questions/need any help,
please don't hesitate to ask.」
should和had在此與「if」同義，但更正式，
而且if可能帶給對方「語帶威脅」的感受
（例如：如果你不買我司產品，
        我叫板娘肛爆你！）
故用if時，須謹慎小心。

17. 我不知道「板主」的英文該怎麼翻譯，
「administrator」？

18. 「...-rrr518.」
我只知道兩種寫法，一種是同位語，例如：
「..., please feel free to him, rrr518.」
另一種則是用「--」，
但以前有同學學到的是「─」，
寫法就只是把上述例句中，
rrr518前面的逗號替換成「--」或「─」就行。

英文也荒廢很久了，
關於文法與修飾問題，
