我認為該改成：
(1) The girl need not come, but she didn't dare not to come.
or
(2) The girl didn't need to come, but she didn't dare not to come.
翻譯：這個女孩不需要來，但她不敢不來。
(1) * need 當助動詞，當然不會加ed
* 由於語義上，後半句是說她不敢不來，所以雙重否定，這裏dare當普通動詞
（我試過dare當助動詞的用法，但怎麼都不順）
(2) * need 當普通動詞，前面加助動詞
* 後半句同上
又，前後兩個完整獨立子句，在conjuction (此為but) 前，應加逗號（comma）
