題目是這樣的
Bam once ___ as a trading post on the Silk Road. In the 16th and 17th
centuries, treasures from the Far East were carried along the road in to
the capital cities of Europe. (94學測)
(A) blossomed (B) worked (C) disguised (D) pictured
答案是A blossomed 一直覺得很奇怪
為什麼不是B呢? 我查字典好像沒有看到 blossom as 這個用法
頂多看到 blossom into
EX. That small fishing village has now blossomed into an important port.
那個小漁村現已發展成為一個重要港口
