[解題] 文章看不懂

在課室4000字的閱測中看到以下一段話, 百思不得其解。

One of the biggest problem with teen pregnancy is that the parents-to-be
are not married.  In many cases, their parents have a hard time accepting
what has happened and deal with it by punishing the two.  Of course this
is very scary for the teenagers.

黃色部份看不太懂, 不太會切句子。感覺好像怪怪的?

那那個 deal with it by punishing the two. 主詞也是 their parents?

我還以為是想講說, have a hard time 後面有兩個受詞呢!
Their parents have a hard time + accepting what has happened and
dealing with it by punishing the two.
