[解題] on the weekend可以替代on weekends嗎?國一下unit7

題目：When do you often play computer game?(用週未回答)
答案：I often play computer games on weekends.

同學的答案：
      I often play computer games on the weekend.

1.根據翰林版英語一下課本104頁的句子有
 (1)Jim always exercise on weekends.
 (2)She usually goes bicycle riding with her
    friends on the weekend.

   也沒有說on weekends 和 on the weekend有何不同
我的想法：
1.之前unit4翰林版on + 星期 +s
  表示每星期幾
2.那on weekends就表示每週末(每個週末
  但我個人認為on the weekend也可當每週末來說才對啊!
  像這一題同學回答：
  on the weekend而不用on weekends
  我覺得是對的！
　因為我是唸國編本的　我記得我國中時根本沒唸過on weekends
  只背過on the weekend
　同學就算寫
　I often paly computer on the weekend.
  中文：我常在週末玩電腦（不強調每個週末）
　也沒有錯啊

　請問老師們
  1.on the weekend 和on weekends有差嗎
  2.同學這一題寫on the weekend錯了嗎?錯在那裡呢?
