標題[國中] 翰林間接問句 與 whether、用法請教

看了一本國三複習文法書
百思後還是不得其解 想看看大家的看法
1. David wants to know _________________________
(A) if his father bought him a computer
(B) whether his father will buy a new comuputer for him.
答案給(B) 沒問題
想請問大家對(A)的看法 原本想說是時態問題
翻了幾本文法書 if後面還是有接過去式的句子 主要子句是現在式
ex Can you tell me if the kids played on the playgroud?
這樣就不確定(A)是哪裡錯
2. He asked if Jack and Jill are going to get married.
想請問大家這句是否有錯 還是 are 應該改成 were呢?
