只能回答
某某人am 或是 某某人may
(確定是誰) (你是用may這個助動辭問的)

選項文法錯了喔!
簡答除了不能加be以外
最高級前面要加定冠詞 the
而且最高級後面的名詞通常應該要用單數
選項答案應該是
(A) The oldest child may.
(B) The youngest child may.
(C) The child of middle height may.
我的選項是以總共有三個小朋友為例
如果原po題目指的是三個以上的小朋友
一群一群小孩這樣來比的話
那可能就要用複數children了

選項不能出現文法錯誤的答案喔!

謝謝各位網友的熱心提供答案.讓我又學了不少..
但說明一下..選項之所以沒加"the" 及用複數的原因是因為課本文章提到:
"Oldest children are typically successful and are natural leaders...
Middle children are usually more relaxed than oldest children..
Youngest children often become artists...."
我用的教科書是Icon 1, Mc Graw Hill出版.文章在p.38.
不知道大家的意見如何呢??
有時候我們自己覺得文法是不大對的..但是外國確實也有這樣用..
我自己的想法是語言用法最主要是要用字典或其他有權威的書籍來決定..
但我也常常用google查用法..採用的都會是最多人採用的那一種用法..
不知道大家常常是否也有這種困擾呢?
順便請教一下..常用的長幼順序:
I am the oldest child.
I am the middle child.
I amd the youngest child.
但是若是獨子的話.我查到的字典是用:
I am an only child.
但是I am the only child.網路上還是查到很多這種用法.
所以是不是兩種用法都ok呢?

一位老師跟我說..只要是比較的對象沒有限定的話..
就不用加"the"..只是我找不到相關的文法書來確認..
給大家參考喔..
另外..獨生子真的通常都用"an" only child..

後面有形容詞片語才要加定冠詞表特定
I'm an only child
世界上有那麼多only child
我只是其中一個 沒有限定條件
所以不必加the
應該是這樣
