[解題] 在班上 in class or in the class

最近遇到這個問題

請問 在班上 是

in class 還是 in the class呢？

因為參考書上面是寫 in class

但是in class 不是指上課嗎？

例如 為可特是班上最高的同學
     Victor is the tallest in class.

但翻譯若改為 是我們班上 不就是 in my class
而所有格通常可以和定冠詞互換 所以不是應該是 in the class??
