標題[問題] teaching by principles

我正在讀H. Douglas Brown的teaching by principles第16章Teaching Listening
在第二版p248頁的部份提到了
...to bear on learner's converting input into intake, or blah blah blah...
&
As we shall see, the conversion of input into intake is absolutely crucial
in considering the role of listening in language learning.
我查Longman的字典得到
input:
ideas, advice, money, or effort that you put into a job or activity in order
to help it succeed
intake:
the amount of food, drink etc that you take into your body 或者
the number of people who join a school, profession etc at a particular time
但還是搞不太清楚這兩個字的差別orz
我五專是唸化工的...二技才轉去念應外...
也因為是唸應外...所以比較少去碰到理論的部份orz
在沒有什麼教學理論當背景的情況下...讀這本書特別辛苦阿= ="
上面的to bear on...& As we shall see...似乎是Krashen提出的論點
(對於Krashen我只聽說過他的The Natural Approach...至於提到了什麼...不清楚XD)
有人可以分享這部份的理論嗎QQ?
