我目前在實習英文科
分享一下我的看法^^

如果這句話文法正確
可以解釋句中的that是一個關係代名詞(本為who)，代替前面所提到的boys
成為後面子句的主詞，所以子句的be動詞為are。
: : 這是國三複習講義上面提到的題目，文法和國二時學的不定代名詞一樣。
: : 2. Tom is the only one the boys that is in the classroom.
: : 書中有特別提到第二題前因為有個the only one所以動詞用is。
: 這一句英文本身就有問題。
: Tom is "the only one" "the boys" that is in the classroom.
: 我覺得比較可行的為以下：
: Tom is the only boy that is in the classroom.
: Tom is the only one that is in the classroom.
用關代來解釋，這兩句話也是正確的。

我想以下的觀念大家看完應該會很清楚
1.Billy is one of the students who talk in class.
「關係代名詞who」 指的是 「students」，所以用複數動詞 「talk」。
雖然Billy 被明確指名，但是重點在於全部的學生。「talk」這個動作是由全部的學生來完成，也就是所有的學生都有參與！
2.Billy is the only one of the students who talks in class.
「關係代名詞who」 指的是 「one」，所以用單數動詞 「talks」。
因為Billy 是「唯一」一個在講話的人，重點在Billy!
