Cambridge字典內的定義是這樣
Assistant: someone who helps someone else to do a job:

an aide to the Prime Minister
而Webster的定義也是大同小異
Assistant: a person who assists : HELPER
Aide: a person who acts as an assistant; specifically :
a military officer who acts as an assistant to a superior officer
總的來說，aide通常會做作為政府官員或軍事將領的助手
，而assistant的用途會比較廣一點，比方說教授、經理、主編等的助理…
