題目：He collect ______ of beautiful cups and sold them.

(B)hundred
(C)two thousands
(D)thousands
答案是D
我的問題：
答案c是否是錯在____後面有of?
還是把s去掉，變成two thousand of
我個人看文法書我只知道
如：
兩千元：two thousand dollars
--->two thousand 是形容詞
數以千計：thousans of + N
如柯旗化文法20頁：
前面無數詞而約略地表多數時須加s
如：thousand of soldiersm數計千計的兵
但我覺得
一、two thousands of beautiful cups
兩千「多」個漂亮杯子(形容兩千多，但不確定數目)
這在語意上很ok啊?
二、那如果C去掉s，再加上沒有of
成為two thousnad beautiful cups
這樣形容詞的用法
two thousnad是第一個形容詞
beautiful 是第二個形容詞
請問這樣對嗎?
三、如果of 留著去掉s
two thousand of beautiful cups
把two thousnad 當成一個「名詞」
beautiful cups也當成名詞
語意好像也不通
---->他收集漂亮杯子的兩千
請問老師們，這一是該如何講解可以讓學生很容易了解呢?
